The Group holds three exhibitions and sale of work each year. In May we support the Exmouth Festival with a show at the Town Hall and in June exhibit in the stable and tearooms of A la Ronde, the beautiful National Trust property in Exmouth. We hold our celebrated Annual Summer Exhibition in September at the Elizabeth Hall, a fine Victorian building on Exmouth Seafront. |

Although the Festival and A la Ronde displays are relatively small, because of the limited space available at the venues, they provide an excellent reflection of the creative talents within the Group. At the Elizabeth Hall an average of more than half the membership exhibit an average of 500 framed, 3D and folio pieces and the show generally attracts in excess of 3000 visitors. We meet in the Exmouth Baptist Church on Victoria Road from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on every first and third Thursday of most months. Usually on the first Thursday the Programme Coordinators will have arranged either a talk by a guest artist or a member of the Group, or a demonstration given by an invited artist from within the Group or externally. Competition and critique evenings are normally scheduled for the third Thursday when members bring along artwork to a set theme (visit Activities : competitions for more details). Meetings are always relaxed and informal and provide an ideal social occasion for members to meet up and share expertise and enthusiasms. |

Thursday Evening Meetings: Competition EveningsExmouth Baptist Church Hall | 7:00pm to 9:00pmContact Wendy Flather: wendyflather[at]live.co.uk Competition evenings are held on the third Thursday of most months at the Exmouth Baptist Church on Victoria Road from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. They are an opportunity for members to bring along entries to a set theme although there is absolutely no obligation to submit anything. The artworks are displayed at the start of the meeting so that everyone can cast a silent vote for the one they like the most. This is followed by a supportive and informal critique, led by a volunteer from the Group. Members who have submitted work give some background to their piece, and possibly say something about their technique, and then the rest of the Group offer their thoughts, share experiences and give some positive criticism. Competition winners are awarded a cash prize and in some cases a bestowed trophy.

Thursday Morning Painting SessionsExmouth Baptist Church Hall | 9:30am to 12:30pmContact Jill Webb: jill.tim.webb[at]talktalk.net Thursday morning painting sessions are offered most weeks at the Exmouth Baptist Church from 9:30am to 12:30pm. An informal, enthusiastic group of members comes together to practice, share expertise and interests and enjoy organised monthly workshops, sometimes given by guest artists, sometimes by experienced members. The sessions are supported by the Art Group and open to all members. Jill Webb oversees activities and arranges outdoor sketching outings in the summer, weather permitting. The last meeting this year will be 24th November and sessions due to start again on 12th January. The following links give a flavour of some recent activities:
